Our HallowZine and more updates!

Hello readers!

I have a few really great updates to mention here that I hope you will all love!

October is shaping up to be a major month for film festivals, creepy features, and more, but outside of that I wanted to tell you all about our new zine issue, our Patreon, and most importantly, our pay rate for articles published on this website.

Our HallowZine features:

– Art by Rowan Willis, Sierra Laico, and Rachel Sumlin!
A Love Letter to Little Shop of Horrors by Sierra Laico
Our Favorite Childhood Horror Films, featuring words by Sebastián Martínez Díaz, Levi Broomand, Erin Brady, Rob Trench, Jessica Scott, Coco Trejos, Megan Robinson, Daniel Wood, Shea Vassar, Red Broadwell, and Maxance Vincent.
Do Vampies Have Sex? A Case Study by Mary Beth McAndrews
A Tribute to Dick Miller by Jessica Scott
– and finally another CROSSWORD PUZZLE!

Film Cred’s second zine, featuring all things spooky and some a little risqué, is out now on our Patreon! You can have access to our monthly zines by contributing $5 USD a month. Outside of that, all patrons receive a shout-out on our Thank You page. At this moment, we are close to hitting our second goal, with Patreon covering half of what we need to pay writers each month for their work!

We aim to always be transparent about our pay and budget as possible. Anyone who writes for us will receive $10 USD for their published article, on the day it is published. We have this posted on our Contact page as well, so that prospective writers never have to wait for information that is vital for all freelancers. We also have clear plans to increase this pay as our Patreon, and any ad revenue we acquire, increases.

Please stay tuned for more updates and our awesome coverage of LFF, Nightstream, Salem Horror Fest, and more!

Thank you for reading,
