If you are reaching out because you are interested in writing for Film Cred, please read this:

• We will give feedback on every writing inquiry/initial pitch that we receive, even if we don’t accept your pitch.
• You are not guaranteed to be published on Film Cred, but we will never leave you hanging and we will tell you why we’re turning your pitch down.
• Conventional samples are not necessary. Send us anything that shows us your writing ability, even a Letterboxd review.
• A perfect first email isn’t necessary. We will follow up with questions. We will ask for samples if they’re not included at first and help you figure out the pitch if you’re not sure what you want to write about.
• That said, please do not send us a completed first draft before we accept your pitch. Our editing process is hands-on and it is important we work with our contributors from the initial pitch on.
• If your pitch is approved, we will pay you $15 USD when it is published. This rate is subject to change as we expand the website, for the better.

Our goal is to give writers who are putting themselves out there a chance to develop their skills enough to get writing published elsewhere.
